Our month of February was a month of firsts - the baptism of Todd and Kailee's first born, the first time my brother Darrell was in our home in 17 years, and the first time not being temple ordinance workers.
We'll start with our not being temple ordinance workers anymore after 17 years. The Provo temple closed officially on the 23rd of this month. It is being totally rebuilt. As a result, all ordinances workers were released. It was a little surreal the following Friday when we didn't make the trip into Provo to work in the temple. We have loved being ordinances worker for since we moved here 17 years ago. We had to take a leave of absence during our two missions but returned as soon as we were released. It has been a source of much joy for us. We will miss it, for sure, but will start being patrons regularly at the different temples in Utah county. We received an official letter of release shortly after our last day.
| We ate a late lunch at In N Out for nostalgia's sake. For years, we went there every Friday after our temple shift. We hadn't done that for a while, though. |

Another first took place at the the first of the month. Todd and Kailee's first child, Aria, got baptized. She was well prepared to be baptized. I was a witness and Paul said the closing prayer as well as stood in the circle during her confirmation. The talks on baptism and the holy ghost were given by Kailee's two sisters. Afterwards, we all went back to Todd and Kailee's home for a lunch of catered sandwiches. Kailee had decorated the table with pictures of Aria in her white dress. We are so proud of Aria for deciding to be baptized.
Another first was when Ed and Debbie, Don and Dana, and Darrell came to visit. It is the first time Darrell had been in our home since we moved in 17 years ago. They were all going to a BYU men's volleyball game on Saturday. Ed and Debbie came in on Friday then Don and Dana and Darrell arrived Saturday late morning. Sam came with them and Deon and Gary came over so we could all watch the BYU basketball game together in our theater. The company was great but the game not so much. We lost to a team that was at the bottom of the league. I served nachos for lunch and we visited until it was time for the group to leave for the volleyball game.
Sunday, we all went to church and then came home to fix dinner for the group. Sam and the Fullers joined us again for dinner of chicken breast with Bearnaise sauce. It was a big hit as was the mud pie for dessert. Ed and Debbie left right after dinner. Sam and the Fullers left later in the evening. We had a great time with lots of laughs and recollections of memories.
The next day, Don and Dana left for dentists appointments. Darrell stayed with us for the morning until Deon and Gary picked us all up to go a movie in Provo. We saw Ordinary Angels, a feel good movie about people helping a dying young girl get the medical treatment needed to save her life. After the movie, we met Don and Dana at Freddy's for a late lunch. Don and Dana then took Darrell to their son's dental office where he pulled all of Darrell's teeth. Most of Darrell's teeth were rotting from infection. They had brought denture that had been made for his upper teeth but they didn't fit. He had to go back to St. George two days later to have them refitted and placed in his mouth. They are hoping, in a couple of months, he can start having implants for the bottom teeth. This is all because of Darrell's life style, especially, after losing his wife, Wanda. We hope these new teeth will help him live a longer and happier life. He is presently living with David and Susette in St. George. We continually pray for him.
This month we celebrated the birthday of our granddaughter, Allison. She requested chicken and cream sauce for her special Sunday dinner and cream puffs for her dessert. We love that our adult granddaughters are at BYU and come up to dinner most every Sunday, weather permitting.
That's about it for the month of February except for the memes of the month.....
